Your privacy matters.
This policy explains what information River Dispute Resolution collects through this website and how we use it. Last updated October 5, 2026.
River Dispute Resolution ("River," "we," or "us") provides neutral mediation services. This policy covers information collected through this website. Information shared during an actual mediation is handled under the mediation agreement and applicable law, which we explain before mediation begins.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form, schedule a consultation, or contact us, we collect what you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, the type of dispute, and a brief description of the situation. If you ask us to invite another party, we also collect the contact details you give us for that person.
Scheduling. Consultations are booked through Google Calendar appointment scheduling. Information you enter there is handled by Google under its own privacy policy, and we receive the booking details.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, and the pages visited. We use this to operate and secure the site. This website also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers when you visit. We do not currently use advertising cookies.
How we use information
- To respond to your questions and requests
- To schedule and hold consultations
- To evaluate whether mediation may be appropriate for a situation
- To provide mediation services
- To operate, secure, and improve this website
- To comply with legal obligations
Invitations to another party
If you ask us to invite the other party to mediation, we review your request first. We do not contact anyone automatically. If we do reach out, we use the contact details you provided to make a neutral introduction that explains the process and offers them their own free conversation with us. River does not represent you or the other party.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us run our website, scheduling, email, and forms, and who are only permitted to use it for those purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect legal rights, or when you ask us to.
Please keep website messages brief
Our forms are for getting started, not for sharing detailed or sensitive information. Please do not include financial account numbers, passwords, or confidential documents in a form or email. A short summary is enough, and we will talk through the details with you directly. Standard email and web forms are not guaranteed to be secure.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described above, or as required by law, and then delete or anonymize it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect, but no website or method of transmission is completely secure.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have given us by contacting us using the details below. We will respond as required by applicable law.
Children
This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
