About River
Neutral, by design.
River Dispute Resolution exists to give people and organizations a better way to resolve disagreements — one where the people in the dispute keep the power to decide what resolution looks like.
The mediator's role
The mediator isn't there to decide who's right. The mediator is there to help both sides identify the real issues, communicate productively, evaluate options, and determine whether they can reach an agreement they both accept.
That neutrality is the whole point. River does not represent either party in a dispute, does not take sides, and does not impose an outcome.
Our approach
- ImpartialEvery party is heard on equal footing. River does not advocate for either side.
- StructuredA clear process — not an unmoderated argument — so the conversation actually moves toward resolution.
- PrivateDiscussions take place outside the public record, with confidentiality terms discussed up front.
- VoluntaryEither party can choose not to proceed. Nothing is imposed.
